Terms and Conditions for Limited Scope Legal Consultation

1. Nature of Services The legal services provided under these Terms and Conditions are limited to a one-time phone consultation (the “Consultation”). The purpose of the Consultation is to provide general legal information and guidance based on the information shared by the client during the session. The attorney will not:

  • Appear in court or represent the client in any legal proceedings;
  • Contact opposing parties or third parties on behalf of the client;
  • Draft or file legal documents on behalf of the client;
  • Retain or maintain any records or information provided by the client beyond the duration of the Consultation.

2. Confidentiality All information disclosed by the client during the Consultation will be treated as confidential and will not be shared with third parties, except as required by law. However, the limited nature of this service does not establish a formal attorney-client relationship or attorney-client privilege.

3. No Attorney-Client Privilege While the information disclosed during the Consultation is confidential, no attorney-client relationship is formed solely through the provision of this limited scope service. As such, attorney-client privilege does not attach to the communication.

4. Limitation of Scope The attorney’s role is limited to providing general legal information and initial guidance. This service is not a substitute for full legal representation. If the client requires additional legal services, including representation, document preparation, or other ongoing legal work, the attorney may provide referrals to other qualified attorneys.

5. No Retention of Information Following the conclusion of the Consultation, the attorney will not retain any records, notes, or other information related to the matter discussed. The client is encouraged to retain their own records for future reference.

6. Referrals to Other Attorneys As part of the Consultation, the attorney may provide the client with referrals to other legal professionals or resources for continued assistance. These referrals are provided as a courtesy and do not imply any endorsement or guarantee regarding the quality of services provided by the referred attorneys.

7. Disclaimer of Liability The attorney provides the Consultation on an “as-is” basis and makes no guarantees, warranties, or assurances regarding the outcome of the client’s legal matter. The client is solely responsible for any decisions or actions they take based on the information provided during the Consultation.

8. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Kansas and any disputes arising out of this agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Kansas. All advise given shall be as it relates to Kansas or Missouri law. If the caller is located in another state, or is seeking advise related to property located in another state, he or she is advised to obtain local counsel. Brickhaven.Legal, LLC does not provide legal services in states other than Kansas and Missouri.

9. Acknowledgment and Acceptance By scheduling and participating in the Consultation, the client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
